Starting at the gate of our organic farm you’ll meet several well known and respected plant species. We’ll continue through our collection of medicinal plants. This is a solid introduction to the traditional uses of rainforest plants and herbs; we’ll cover local and introduced species well as those used by local healers. The forest is a living organism and each species fills a particular role in the overall ecology. Stories and folklore of the local cultures confirm this understanding and you’ll leave full of tales and knowledge of these special rainforest plants. Other things to note
This is a walk along rough paths. There will be vines, roots and insects. Comfortable shoes and being comfortable walking on trails are a must.
